Leg/weights + 7.25 on TM (2 x 400 @6min, 2 x800 @6:15, 2 x 1200 @6:30).  Recovery is going slowly from ankle.  In serious need of patience.

Patience is a tough one especially for us runners. After all of the hard work that you have done it is difficult to have a setback and feel like the hard work is slipping away. I'm not sure what your plan is for the upcoming marathon but since you are still able to run I would think that you are at least maintaining your current fitness level while the ankle heals to 100%. If you are healed by the marathon and get in a good taper you may surprise yourself in the marathon. Some of my best races have been where I went into them with low expectations. Another benefit is that since you are not pushing so hard right now you may go into this marathon fresher than normal and feel great. I know it is easier to say all of this when I am not the one going through it but I really believe you still have a excellent chance to finish off a great year.

Jim, your insights are very helpful. I was in need of encouragement and perspective. btw- I'm now official in for Boston. I look forward to connecting.

Are you in again? I'd try to connect, but you'll probably be in a warm building somewhere hanging out with Ryan Hall or Kara Goucher or interviewing for Runner's World, eating free powerbars and stuff :).

LOL! I am not planning on running again this year, too much expense and time to get there from Idaho. Dan S whom I run with a lot is running though!

I will talk to the PB folks and try to get you guys set up! In the mean time...don't say no to the free raffle at the expo!

I'm really excited for Boston. It will be a challenge for me to hold the training together through the winter. I know you did a great job training through winter last year so I will be looking for some inspiration.

I learned to utilize the Treadmill. It was something I previously despised, but I just learned to go outside when the roads weren't icy and do 90% of speedwork on the mill.
