Ahhh..redemption!  Legs were still a bit stiff from Sunday, yet the first beautiful running day in over a week (60's w/little humidity!).  Decided to take the same loop that I crashed and burned on two days ago.  Eased into the first two miles at about an 8 minute pace and then just coasted through the sloping hills- felt effortless.  Total run- 8 miles at 7:31 pace (1:00:05).

Plan on a big day tomorrow.

Let me know what your plan is for the marathon after you run the half. I am still trying to figure out how to run as close to sub 3 as possible.

sounds like a nice track to run, its so flat in Windsor Ontario.

Actually we vacationed in Litchfield 6 summer's ago. Friends of ours from New York had a home for a couple months so we spent a week there. I would jog maybe 25 mins everyother day back then, I was into golf. I golfed a lot now I have no time or desire. Family and running are much more important.

Beautiful area.

Great run! Days like this is what makes running so great.

"Smally", I'll let you know. I'm such the novice and get totally confused by the hot, humid days that make a marathon seem impossible and then the cool, crisp ones that lead me to believe I could run close to 3 hrs. I'm shooting for a negative split in the half and will allow that to influence my marathon strategy...Jim, thanks for the consistent encouragement...it has made a big difference in my training as well.

It was so nice to run with no watch today, 14 degrees and sunny, heaven on earth.

My game plan after thinking about it is a negative split, 134/130. I know I can run sub 3 but I just don't want to hit the wall and be passed, that really hurts. Therefore my plan is to pb have a great race and then train for a sub 3 Boston.

This is so fun. I also my best buddy trying to qualify, he ran 319 when I qualified so this race is really important for him so I want to run at least the first half with him.

CT is so nice in the fall.

Yeah, noticed you've visited Litchfield. We love it! Just moved over a couple years ago from Newport Beach, CA...believe or not we like New England better. Also, I was in a big church in CA and our youth pastor was from Canada...we loved to tease him about beer and hockey.
